1. What ages do you coach?
We currently run sessions for children aged 4-9, divided into two groups:
- 4-6 years: 18:30 – 19:20
- 7-9 years: 19:30 – 20:20
2. Where are the sessions held?
All sessions take place at:
Brampton Primary School; Sports Hall. This indoor facility allows us to train safely all year round.
3. Is there parking available?
Yes. Limited parking is available inside the school premises. There is also free off-street parking nearby from 18:30 onwards.
4. How much does it cost?
Your child’s first session is free. After the trial, the cost is £40 per month.
5. How do I book a free trial?
You can complete the Registration Form directly on our website, or simply email us at: steppingstonesportsacademy@hotmail.com; and we will register your child manually.
6. What does my child need to bring?
- Comfortable sports clothing
- Trainers or indoor sports shoes
- Shin pads
- Water bottle
All training is indoors, so no need for weather-specific kit.
7. Do you accept beginners?
Yes, absolutely! Our sessions are designed to support children of all ability levels, including complete beginners.
8. Are the coaches qualified and DBS-checked?
Yes. Our coaches are FA qualified, DBS-checked, and trained in safeguarding and first aid, ensuring a safe and professional environment.
9. What is your coaching philosophy?
We follow a player-centred approach focused on skill development, confidence building, and positive behaviour. We use the 6C Positive Youth Development model to help children grow both on and off the pitch.
10. What if my child misses a session?
We understand things happen, but missed sessions are not rolled over. The monthly fee reserves your child’s place and supports consistent development.
11. Do you run holiday camps or 1-to-1 coaching?
Not yet; but holiday camps, multi-sport sessions, and 1-to-1 coaching are part of our future plans as the academy grows.
